Echinops melitenensis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Türkiye timur. Nama ilmiah Echinops melitenensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ian Charleson Hedge pada tahun 1974.
