Echinops microcephalus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Eropa tenggara hingga Türkiye. Nama ilmiah Echinops microcephalus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis James Edward Smith pada tahun 1813.
