Echinops onopordum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Türkiye barat daya. Nama ilmiah Echinops onopordum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Peter Hadland Davis pada tahun 1956.
