Echinops sphaerocephalus subsp. taygeteus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Yunani selatan (Taïyetos). Nama ilmiah Echinops sphaerocephalus subsp. taygeteus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 1908.
