Echium creticum subsp. algarbiense merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Boraginaceae yang memiliki siklus hidup dua musim (biennial). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Portugal selatan. Nama ilmiah Echium creticum subsp. algarbiense diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Rosette Batarda Fernandes pada tahun 1969.
