Ehrharta capensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Ehrharta capensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Peter Thunberg pada tahun 1779.
