Elaeagnus ovata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Elaeagnaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Shanghai). Nama ilmiah Elaeagnus ovata diperkenalkan oleh Camille Servettaz pada tahun 1908.
