Elaphoglossum peltatum merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Polypodiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan peltate tonguefern. Nama ilmiah Elaphoglossum peltatum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1903.
