Elegia caespitosa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Restionaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Elegia caespitosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Elsie Elizabeth Esterhuysen pada tahun 1985.
