Elegia capensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Restionaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Elegia capensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicolaas Laurens Burman pada tahun 1967.
