Elegia equisetacea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Restionaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Elegia equisetacea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Maxwell Tylden Masters pada tahun 1885.
