Elegia equisetacea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Restionaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Elegia equisetacea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Maxwell Tylden Masters pada tahun 1885.
