Elegia extensa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Restionaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Elegia extensa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Neville Stuart Pillans pada tahun 1942.
