Elegia grandis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Restionaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Elegia grandis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Curt Polycarp Joachim Sprengel pada tahun 1841.
