Eleiotis sororia adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari India, Myanmar, hingga Sri Lanka. Nama ilmiah Eleiotis sororia diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1825.
