Eleocharis acutangula merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah kawasan tropis dan subtropis. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan acute spikerush. Nama ilmiah Eleocharis acutangula diperkenalkan oleh William Roxburgh pada tahun 1824.
