Eleocharis melanocarpa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Serikat timur hingga Texas. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan blackfruit spikerush. Nama ilmiah Eleocharis melanocarpa diperkenalkan oleh John Torrey pada tahun 1836.
