Elephantopus elatus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan tall elephantsfoot. Nama ilmiah Elephantopus elatus diperkenalkan oleh Antonio Bertoloni pada tahun 1851.
