Elephantopus hirtiflorus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Venezuela (Bolívar, Monagas) hingga Brazil. Nama ilmiah Elephantopus hirtiflorus diperkenalkan oleh Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1836.
