Eleutherococcus lasiogyne merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Araliaceae (suku mangkok-mangkokan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nevada selatan hingga Texas barat dan Meksiko (Chihuahua dan Coahuila). Nama ilmiah Eleutherococcus lasiogyne pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hermann Harms pada tahun 1980.
