Eleutherococcus pilosulus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Araliaceae (suku mangkok-mangkokan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Qinghai hingga China (Gansu). Nama ilmiah Eleutherococcus pilosulus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alfred Rehder pada tahun 2000.
