Eleutherococcus setosus merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau pohon dari famili Araliaceae (suku mangkok-mangkokan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China selatan, Taiwan. Nama ilmiah Eleutherococcus setosus diperkenalkan oleh Hui-lin Li pada tahun 1977.
