Eleutherococcus setulosus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Araliaceae (suku mangkok-mangkokan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Sichuan, Gansu, Anhui selatan, Zhejiang barat). Nama ilmiah Eleutherococcus setulosus diperkenalkan oleh Adrien René Franchet pada tahun 1980.
