Elleanthus arpophyllostachys merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Orchidaceae (suku anggrek-anggrekan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan bagian utara hingga Ekuador. Nama ilmiah Elleanthus arpophyllostachys pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach pada tahun 1862.
