SOUTH AMERICAN WATER Elodeacallitrichoides (Rich.) Casp.
Elodea callitrichoides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semak dari famili Hydrocharitaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh di air (hidrofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Uruguay selatan hingga Argentina. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan south american waterweed. Nama ilmiah Elodea callitrichoides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Louis Claude Marie Richard pada tahun 1857.
