Elymus africanus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Ethiopia. Nama ilmiah Elymus africanus diperkenalkan oleh Áskell Löve pada tahun 1984.
