Elymus barbicallus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Qinghai hingga China utara. Nama ilmiah Elymus barbicallus diperkenalkan oleh Jisaburo Ohwi pada tahun 1988.
