Elytraria bromoides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Texas hingga Guatemala. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan wheatspike scalystem. Nama ilmiah Elytraria bromoides diperkenalkan oleh Anders Sandøe Ørsted pada tahun 1855.
