Embelia cotinoides merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Primulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua. Nama ilmiah Embelia cotinoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Spencer Le Marchant Moore pada tahun 1954.
