Emilia coccinea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah kawasan tropis Afrika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan scarlet tasselflower. Nama ilmiah Emilia coccinea diperkenalkan oleh John Sims pada tahun 1839.
