Empogona africana adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Empogona africana diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Thomas Robertson Sim pada tahun 2009.
