Englerodaphne ovalifolia merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Provinsi Cape timur hingga KwaZulu-Natal. Nama ilmiah Englerodaphne ovalifolia diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Daniel Friedrich Meissner pada tahun 1944.
