Enneapogon cenchroides merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Afrika hingga India. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan soft feather pappusgrass. Nama ilmiah Enneapogon cenchroides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Martin Lichtenstein pada tahun 1934.
