Enteropogon monostachyos subsp. africanus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Somalia hingga Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Enteropogon monostachyos subsp. africanus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis William Derek Clayton pada tahun 1967.
