Ephedra funerea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Ephedraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California tenggara hingga Nevada barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan death valley jointfir. Nama ilmiah Ephedra funerea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Frederick Vernon Coville pada tahun 1935.
