Ephedra viridis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Ephedraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Serikat bagian barat hingga New Mexico. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mormon tea. Nama ilmiah Ephedra viridis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Frederick Vernon Coville pada tahun 1893.
