Epidendrum patens merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Orchidaceae (suku anggrek-anggrekan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Lesser Antilles. Nama ilmiah Epidendrum patens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1806.
