Epistephium praestans merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Orchidaceae (suku anggrek-anggrekan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Mato Grosso). Nama ilmiah Epistephium praestans diperkenalkan oleh Frederico Carlos Hoehne pada tahun 1910.
