Eragrostis aspera adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Afrika, Jazirah Arab, India selatan, Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Eragrostis aspera pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nikolaus Joseph von Jacquin pada tahun 1841.
