Eragrostis congesta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Rep. Kongo hingga Kenya dan KwaZulu-Natal. Nama ilmiah Eragrostis congesta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Daniel Oliver pada tahun 1875.
