Eragrostis cubensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kuba, Jamaika. Nama ilmiah Eragrostis cubensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Albert Spear Hitchcock pada tahun 1909.
