Eragrostis hypnoides merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan teal lovegrass. Nama ilmiah Eragrostis hypnoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean-Baptiste Lamarck pada tahun 1888.
