Eragrostis multiflora merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Afrika, Afghanistan, hingga Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Eragrostis multiflora pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 1830.
