Eragrostis papposa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Spanyol tenggara, Afrika barat laut, kawasan tropis Afrika bagian timur dan timur laut, hingga Myanmar. Nama ilmiah Eragrostis papposa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Jacob Roemer pada tahun 1840.
