Eragrostis speciosa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Australia. Nama ilmiah Eragrostis speciosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johann Jacob Roemer pada tahun 1854.
