Eragrostis trichodes merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sand lovegrass. Nama ilmiah Eragrostis trichodes pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1861.
