Eranthemum strictum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nepal timur hingga Myanmar. Nama ilmiah Eranthemum strictum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henry Thomas Colebrooke pada tahun 1820.
