Erechtites albiflorus merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan bagian barat, Venezuela barat laut, tenggara, hingga Brazil selatan. Nama ilmiah Erechtites albiflorus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Heinrich "Bipontinus" Schultz pada tahun 2021.
Cacalia prenanthoides Kunth Erechtites petiolatus Benth. Erechtites valerianifolius f. prenanthoides (Kunth) Cuatrec. ex Belcher Senecio albiflorus Sch.Bip.
