Eremosis shannonii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Chiapas) hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Eremosis shannonii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Merle Coulter pada tahun 1906.
