Erica coccinea merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Erica coccinea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
