Erigeron chionophilus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Kolombia, Ekuador, hingga Bolivia barat. Nama ilmiah Erigeron chionophilus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Hugh Algernon Weddell pada tahun 1857.
